It's probably not going to be worth it to give up your progress in Miner and switch to Botanist, for example.įind your loop.

Log out in Ishgard so you can get into the Diadem fast It's not worth hurting yourself physically for the title. Get a good night sleep, stay hydrated, etc. Make sure your chair is comfy and supportive. Stock up on Dark Matter to fix your gear while in the field (and make sure the relevant jobs are at level 70 to do so)Įmpty out your inventory/saddlebag/retainer inventory as much as possible, spend down your skybuilder scrips so you start from as close to 0 as possible. If you run out, buy HQ Watered Cordials from the MB - Last time they would flood the mb because they were a reward for the scratch tickets. Harvest the gathering collectables now for scrips and trade them for the Hi-Cordials. I ended up having to get HQ Watered Cordials because I had burned through my stack, which are the second best choice. My lowest runs were still between 17-18K. I first did the Red line loop, though later on I switched to the Blue line, which might be even more rewarding, but I started to run out of Hi-Cordials by then. From the entrance I went East until I picked up the first node, further East to pick up the second node, and just went around and around until I lost all track of time/sense of meaning. That's where I learned about the Gathering vs Perception paths, and saw the loop in the northern part of the map that lets you avoid having to use air currents. Starting on day 5 and thanks to u/Celyni's post ( ), I started becoming a mining machine. This was highly inefficient, and combined with general fatigue, it was the lowest day total. Day 4 I tried to focus on weather nodes, where I would harvest the node, leave and return, hoping to get into the same instance and get it another time. The first 3 days I did not know that there were two paths, and would bounce back and forth between the Perception and Gathering node tracks, which increased my travel time and both +5 nodes would be up at the same time, so I would have to wait for my GP to fill up so I could use King's Yield II 2x in a row. So what changed between days 1-4 vs 5-10? Basically, I started drinking Hi-Cordials/HQ Watered Cordials and farming a tight loop vs going around the whole map. I tracked my daily point total as well as how many points I earned per run, and made notes on what worked well for me. Thanks to being furloughed and having no place to go (stupid pandemic), I figured "Why not?" My original plan was to just farm enough mats so I could try to rank for ALC, but ended up placing in the top 12 Miners on the first day and decided to just keep at it.

Firmament rankings Patch#

So with the announcement of the final(!) Skyward Ranking coming in patch 5.41, I thought I would share my experience in getting the Saint of the Firmament title as a gatherer last time.
