Ranged attacks should work nicely here, but even if you need to engage in close-quarters combat, its moves are so slow you shouldn’t be getting hit unless you want to be hit, for whatever reason. One of the easier bosses due to the lack of real combat just sneak your way to the ballistas and fire away. Dragon God - Demon’s Souls Dragon God from Demon’s Souls By far the easiest boss that was ever made by From Software. Use Turpentine and Firebombs to make things easier.
Just get rid of the Hoplites around it and it’s easy pickings. Phalanx's low HP and mobility aren’t the only things that make this fight easy the boss can’t even attack you by itself.
